Online, in full, when you book. That is how we hold the vehicle for your dates. Nothing further is due at pick-up unless you add extras on the day.

Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay and WeChat Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

Thai Baht (฿). We show an approximate US dollar figure to help you plan, but your bank sets the actual exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee, so the amount on your statement may differ slightly from the estimate.

Never. Some operators in Thailand hold a passport for the length of the rental — we do not, and we would advise against renting anywhere that asks. You will need to show your passport at pick-up, and we take a copy, but it stays with you.

There is no login and no account. Your confirmation email is your booking — it carries the reference, the vehicle, the dates and the pick-up details. Reply to it, or message us on LINE or WhatsApp, and a person will change it. Keep that email and you have everything you need.

Yes — the confirmation email is a valid receipt. If you need a tax invoice with a company name and address, reply to that email and we will issue one.

Yes, and free of charge if you tell us more than 24 hours ahead. Reply to your confirmation email or message us on LINE or WhatsApp with your booking reference. If the new dates cost more, we send a payment link for the difference; if they cost less, we refund it.

Yes. Message us before your return time and we will add the days — you keep the vehicle you already have. The extra days are paid by a payment link we send you when you extend, as a separate charge at the normal daily rate; we never hold or charge your card without you. Extending is far cheaper than returning late.

Your passport, your driving licence, and an International Driving Permit (IDP) if your licence is not in English. That's it.

Yes, and this matters more than most visitors expect. Thai law requires either a Thai licence or an IDP alongside your home licence. Police checkpoints are common in and around Chiang Mai, and riding without one means a fine — but the bigger risk is your travel insurance, which will usually refuse a claim if you were not legally licensed. Get the IDP at home before you fly; you cannot obtain one in Thailand as a tourist.

Yes, and your IDP must cover motorcycles specifically — the car category alone is not enough. This is the single most common reason a visitor's insurance claim is refused after a scooter accident.

A licence from the UK, US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and most of Europe is usually accepted with your passport. We still recommend the IDP: it costs very little, and it removes any argument at a checkpoint.

Yes. Additional drivers are free, but every driver must be named on the rental agreement and show the same documents. Anyone driving who is not on the agreement is uninsured.

Wherever suits you in Chiang Mai — the airport (CNX), your hotel, the Old City, Nimmanhaemin, the railway station or the bus terminal. Delivery within the city is free.

Tell us your flight number when you book. We track it, so a delayed flight is not a problem, and we meet you in the arrivals hall with the vehicle and the paperwork. Expect about fifteen minutes.

Yes, anywhere in Chiang Mai, at no extra charge. Returning outside the city — Chiang Rai, Pai, Lampang — is possible but carries a relocation fee; ask us for a quote before you book. [CONFIRM]

Full to full. We hand it over with a full tank and ask for it back the same way. If you return it short, we refuel it for a flat ฿100 for a car or ฿10 for a bike, fuel included — no inflated per-litre rate.

First-class comprehensive cover — the best available here — on every vehicle, at no extra cost, alongside Thailand's compulsory motor insurance. It covers damage to the vehicle, third-party injury and third-party property. There is no upgrade to buy and no cheaper tier we quietly put you on: everyone gets the same cover.

Make sure everyone is safe, then call us before you move the vehicle or agree to anything. We are on the phone 24 hours a day and we speak English. In Thailand the insurer's assessor attends the scene and determines fault — do not accept blame, exchange money, or sign anything you cannot read. Call 1669 for an ambulance and 191 for police. Photograph everything.

Call us. Roadside assistance is included everywhere in the north, and if we cannot fix the vehicle where it stands we will get you a replacement.

The left. If you are used to driving on the right, the first hour is the dangerous one — give yourself a quiet street to adjust, and be especially careful at junctions and when pulling out after a stop.

Yes, by law, and for both rider and passenger. It is enforced with roadside checks, and head injury is by a wide margin the most common serious outcome of scooter accidents here. Helmets are included free with every scooter.

Routine and common, particularly around the Old City and on roads out of town. Slow down, stop if waved in, and hand over your licence and IDP. They are usually checking documents and helmets. Stay polite; it is almost always a two-minute stop.

Yes — Chiang Rai, Pai, Mae Hong Son, Lampang and the rest of the north are all fine, and that is what most of our customers do. Just tell us your plans at pick-up so we know where you are. You may not take any vehicle across an international border.

Some, not all. A 125cc is fine for the Samoeng Loop, Mae Kampong or Doi Suthep. It is not suitable for Doi Inthanon, Doi Ang Khang, Pai or the Mae Hong Son Loop — those are long, steep and demanding, and every year visitors are seriously hurt attempting them on underpowered bikes. Each of our route guides says plainly which vehicles suit it, and we would rather lose the booking than put you on the wrong machine.

November to February — cool, clear and the reason people come. May to October is green and beautiful with heavy afternoon rain and occasional landslides on mountain roads. February to April is the agricultural burning season, when haze can be severe and mountain views often disappear; the roads are fine, but manage your expectations about the views.

Avoid mountain roads after dark. They are unlit, the bends are tight, and livestock and unlit motorcycles are both common. Plan to be off the mountains by sunset.

You will get that model or an equivalent in the same class. If we have to substitute, we tell you before pick-up, and it will never be smaller or less capable than what you booked.

Almost everything in our fleet is automatic, including the scooters — the Honda Wave is semi-automatic with no clutch lever.

No. Unlimited mileage on every rental, which matters when the Mae Hong Son Loop alone is 600 km.

A child seat is ฿200, fitted before we hand the car over — that covers cleaning it afterwards. A car with one of our drivers is ฿500 a day. Extra helmets, phone holders and additional drivers from your own party are free. Comprehensive insurance is already included on every vehicle, so there is no insurance to add.

Yes, on cars — ฿500 per day on top of the rental. One of our drivers takes you, so you need no licence and no International Driving Permit, and nobody has to learn Chiang Mai traffic on their holiday. Tell us where you are going when you book so we can plan the day. Not available on motorbikes.
